Prepare in a Year 26: Map Your Neighborhood

At the foundation of our Community’s emergency readiness are two fundamentals: prepared households and prepared neighborhoods.

The Goal

The goal is to implement the Map Your Neighborhood program where you live with your neighbors. If you’ve already taken that step, then the goal is to meet annually with your neighbors and practice.

The Strategy

  • Find out if your neighborhood is part of the Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) program. Visit the City of Bainbridge Island website to see the current map.

  • If it is, reach out to your neighborhood captain and find out what you can do to help.

  • If it is, find out the location of your neighborhood Meeting Place.

  • If it isn’t, visit bainbridgeprepares.org/myn.

Team Player

Don’t go it alone. Work with your neighbors. The whole point of Map Your Neighborhood is teamwork. That’s how we increase our resilience.
