This Season, Reach out to Your Neighbors

The two most important things you can do to prepare for emergencies are to

  • ready your household and

  • connect with your neighbors.

Ready Your Household

To prepare your household, follow our Prepare in a Year program. We’ll be launching Prepare in a Year 26 on January 1. Stay tuned!

Connect with Your Neighbors

Ideally, your neighborhood is already enrolled in Map Your Neighborhood and you and your neighbors have met, identified a meeting place, exchanged contact info., and elected a captain and co-captain. If not, simply click the button to get started.

Map Your Neighborhood

Regardless of whether you’re enrolled in MYN, building basic familiarity with your neighbors now will vastly improve those long weeks post disaster when no is coming to help. You and your neighbors will be supporting one another through those tough times. Knocking on a few neighbors’ doors to say hello now will lay the foundation for increased resilience in the future.
