Due to recent road construction closures and detours, the entire Bainbridge community is now well aware of how the South End of Bainbridge Island is its own little island on a bigger island. That’s why the South End is throwing its own emergency preparedness party.

Instead of filing your taxes at the last minute this year, why not attend the second session of the new Emergency Preparedness series at the library on April 15? The session will focus on Wildfire Prep and Mitigation. The presenter is Bainbridge Island Fire Department Chief Jared Moravec.

Coincidentally, November features the work anniversaries of two of our favorite people: Loren Bast, our beloved executive director who makes miracles happen, and Anne LeSage, the multitasking wizard also known as Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Bainbridge Island.
