Meet Our New ED

After reviewing 90+ applications from across the country over the past two months, the Board of Directors has selected Dominique Cantwell as the new Bainbridge Prepares’ Executive Director.

Cantwell, who previously served as ED for Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) for 13 years, comes to BP with extensive leadership experience and has worked with many other local nonprofits as a consultant and facilitator.

She was also a teaching fellow in public narrative (leadership, storytelling, and action) and narrative coach at the Harvard Kennedy School for nearly three years.

Cantwell explained that she decided to pursue the position partly because of “the heart and dedication” of BP volunteers.” She added, “My work has always been rooted in bringing people together, and I see that same spirit at the core of Bainbridge Prepares. Here, neighbors look out for one another and every volunteer plays a role in making sure we’re ready for whatever the future may hold.”

Bainbridge Prepares extends a warm welcome to Cantwell and looks forward to her leadership.
