BP’s Bash Raises Funds and Celebrates Community
Saturday night’s (September 12) Birthday Bash and Fundraiser was a feel-good event that generated over $73,500 for Bainbridge Prepares.
Attendees enjoyed Sister’s Cider House ciders, including an NA option, light food, birthday cupcakes, and a gorgeous view of the Sound from the Fieldstone Bainbridge venue, while listening to live music by New Age Flamenco.
BP Executive Director Stephen Richardson welcomed the guests, and Bainbridge Fire Chief Jared Moravec, Emergency Manager Anne LeSage, and BP Board Members Maradel Gale and Devin James introduced the night’s honored guest, BP founder Scott James, who briefly told the story of BP and reminded everyone of the core principle of the organization, which is to operate out of love, not fear.
BP’s board is a working board, and all members attended, checking people in, serving drinks, and tracking auction bids.
Auctioneer Andrew McMasters kept things fun and loose while nudging people to support the organization that supports them.
Fieldstone Bainbridge, Sisters’ Cider House, and Wildernest sponsored the event.
