A critical task, immediately after an earthquake, is to establish some form of communication. This is demonstrated well in This Is Chance!, a book written by islander Jon Mooallem about the 1965 Great Alaskan Earthquake. You might recognize this book as one of our community book reads.

On July 12, Bainbridge Prepares volunteers joined more than 2,500 others to donate their skills for the Rotary Club’s 66th Annual Auction and Rummage Sale. That sale broke all previous earnings records, raising $1,021,366.
